CET Universe Provides Test Bed For Warner Bros. Studio Workflow Project

Warner Brothers Next-Generation Production Workflows : Report Hosted at CET's Studio City Headquarters

LAS VEGAS, NV - CET Universe, a leading provider of services, systems, and solutions for professional audio and video production, today announced that it has provided the test bed and host facilities for the recently-released Warner Bros. Next-Generation Production Workflows Report. Conducted from October-December, 2010 during a six-week period, the project was comprised of 20 separate digital workflow tests which included more than 30 vendor participants. CET provided its headquarters facility, in Studio City, California, as the host site for the tests, and helped coordinate the overall testing.

Originally reported at the Hollywood Post Alliance's annual Tech Retreat in Palm Springs, California in mid-February, the Warner Bros. production workflows report was spearheaded by Sean Cooney, vice president of advanced production technology at Warner Bros. CET's CEO, Steve Klein, and Frank Donner, CEO of BlackBox Creative Group (BLKBX), coordinated the on-site workflow tests, which ranged from different camera systems and post-production tools to editing and digital dailies. CET's chief engineer, Tony Cahill, worked closely with technical consultant Jonathan Smiles, Sean Cooney, and Donner to ensure that each test was conducted according to Cooney's specifications, and that each vendor involved was independently and accurately documented by the Warner Bros. team.....Read more..

CET Universe Signs Exclusive Deal With Tandberg Data

CET Universe to use Tandberg Data LTO-4 and LTO-5 drives with CET's Constellation VCM™ based tapeless workflow products

STUDIO CITY, CA and WESTMINSTER, CO – CET Universe, a leading provider of services, systems, and solutions for professional audio and video production, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Tandberg Data, the global supplier of data protection solutions, to use Tandberg Data's internal data drives exclusively for CET's products that use the Constellation VCM™ asset and storage management system.

Tandberg Data has certified CET's Constellation system for use with all products. Tandberg Data will also provide its reseller network for CET's products that use Tandberg Data drives.

CET will certify exclusive use for all Tandberg Data LTO-4 and LTO-5 single internal drives that will be integrated into CET's Andromeda Server, Fusion Drive, and Archive Station products. The Andromeda Server is a media asset management server appliance, with a plug-and-play system. Fusion Drive combines four removable hard drives and both LTO-4 and LTO-5 drives in a single interface that can run off a laptop.
